Cuban Linx, the popular lifestyle club in the heart of the capital city center will mark its fifth year anniversary with a party dubbed the Ultimate Cuban Party ‘Lockdown Edition’ tomorrow.
The night club and restaurant has become an integral part of the entertainment scene of the city and country over the past four years.
Cuban Linx was founded in November 2016 and came onto the scene as a club that would cater strictly for the hip-hop market, though over the five years of its existence, the joint has gradually made room for all lovers of good upmarket ambience.
The club’s marketing representative Phoka Lithebe told this publication that the club had the vision of making it a note to celebrate its existence.
“From the onset, the owners of the club made a decision to celebrate the existence of the club every year in a form of an event and this year we are indeed marking the fifth year of the club’s existence.
“We are a club and restaurant that is appreciative of the support we have received from Basotho since the first year in all walks of life,” Lithebe said.
The last time the club celebrated its existence was in 2019 when it hosted the biggest event featuring Nadia Nakai and TKZee at Manthabiseng Convention Centre.
However, Lithebe said due to the Covid-19 pandemic this year’s event would not be as big as they along with the rest of the country are still trying to get used to the new normal of doing things in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Due to Covid-19 we decided it is not practical to host as big an event as the last one or even bigger because there have been many challenges,” said Lithebe.
He further stated that the pandemic hit them hard financially hence the event will just take place at their premises with their intention of minimizing costs and time being limited to organize a bigger event.
Lithebe mentioned that Covid-19 almost completely crippled them last year as they had to close for the most part of the year and that when they had a chance to reopen unlike many other businesses, they were restricted on operating times.
Since its existence, Cuban Linx has added a high quality of lifestyle in the country, promoting a lot of Djs with some being able to host their own events in collaboration with the club.
Headlining the event will be Lesotho’s top acts such as Kats & Smoots, Lym. Kopper, Nine24, Dimmo, Ebonics along with South Africa’s Legoody.
