Lesotho international, Motebang Sera has made his return to Dstv Premier League outfit Royal AM from Golden Arrows for the upcoming season, on a one-year deal with option for extension.

The starlet re-joins the Durban-based side after making his departure five months ago with a short trip to Lamontville at Golden Arrows which was under the mentorship of countryman former Lesotho international, Lehlohonolo Seema.

Golden Arrows has so far not yet announced the departure of Sera, but his name keeps being mentioned amongst those set to be released by the club ahead of the new season.

Sera had also caught the attention of Chippa United after they failed to secure his services earlier this year. He settled for Golden Arrows after failing to agree personal terms with Chippa united.

The marksman had left Royal AM in February initially set for a move to Chippa but was hijacked by Golden Arrows. However, he struggled for game time featuring only in three games and failed to find the back of the net for the team.

The team is currently beefing up its squad following a successful second place finish during the 2021/22 Dstv Premier League season. Their position meant they will be going to represent South Africa in the CAF champions League along with the league Champions, Mamelodi Sundowns.

Amongst the players signed by the club so far is former Kaizer Chifes forward, Samir Nurkovic and former Swallows forward Ruzaigh Gamildien.

They have also buttressed their technical team with two co-coaches, Khabo Zondo and Dan Malesela, following the departure of coach John Maduka.

Sera is currently the top goal scorer in the COSAFA tournament with a total of six goals. He scored in every tournament between 2016 and 2021.
