Reigning Vodacom Premier League (VPL) champions, Bantu Football Club have released 11 players and welcomed six new ones ahead of the new season.
Bantu have signed goalkeeper Jersey Matsie from Lioli FC, left back/winger Thabo Matšoele from Matlama FC, and right winger Tumelo Makha from Lioli FC.
They have also signed the attacking midfielder, Tšotleho Jane from Bahrain Football Team based in the United States of America (USA), right winger Charlie Hlalele from FC Siyanda based in South Africa, and striker Thakho Theko from FC Black Cross based in SA.
The club has released Luciano Matsoso and Bokang Sello to Police XI of Botswana, Motlomelo Mkhwanazi (BDF FC of Botswana), Neo Mokhachane (VTM FC of Botswana), Shali Lekhotla (Lifofane FC), Tau Masiu (Lioli FC), Thabo Selisa (Lijabatho FC), Thaddea Moketo (Lioli FC), Thabiso Mahola (Lifofane FC), Maloisane Ramasimong and Sinethemba Mcacani who are yet to sign for new clubs.
Apart from the released players, Bantu has also loaned out three players bringing the total number of player departures to 14.
The players who left on loan are Katiso Selili to Lijabatho FC, Lerole Motinyane to Lioli FC, and Sentle Masale to Naughty Boys FC.
The club management disclosed these developments during a press conference held at Mafeteng Golden Hotel this week.
Bantu have also appointed Lindokuhle Phungulwa and Thabiso Lichaba as the new captain and vice-captain respectively.
