Lesotho Women’s National soccer team captain Boitumelo Rabale has signed with Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa which plays in the South African Football Association (SAFA) National Women’s League (SNWL).

Rabale was amongst the players which have been signed by the Sundowns ladies’ team on Thursday this week.

Lesotho’s skipper Rabale, affectionately known as ‘Queen’ penned a deal with Sundowns from Lewis and Clark Community College in the United States of America.

She was voted and named the junior college-All American National Women’s player of the year in 2020 having scored 57 goals with 30 assists.

She joined the American team on a four-year scholarship three years ago from Kick4Life. She had a very promising start to the 2018 season she caught fire in 2019.

Rabale topped the National junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) league with all the stats available to her and secured her side a third-place finish at the NJCAA division National Tournament in November of 2019.

In 2015 she won the inaugural Lesotho Women’s Super League with Likhosatsana.

It was the following year 2016 and 2017 when she captained the Bloemfontein Celtic to South Africa’s national crown.

Then in 2018 she inspired Lesotho to an Africa Women’s Cup of Nations qualifying win over eSwatinin which was Mehalalitoe’s first-ever win in the continental qualifiers.

She joins one of the most successful teams in the SNWL in Sundowns as it seeks to bolster its squad with the confirmation of other top rated players such as Bafana Bafana international Bambanani Mbane, Andisiwe Mgcoyi, a striker and defender Zanale Nhlapo.
