The soccer activity dearth comes to an end on Wednesday with the resumption of the Vodacom Premier League. This comes after the Premier League Management Committee (PLMC) announced league’s resumption this week.

The 2020/21 season has been on hold since January 2021 when Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) suspended football as a result of the upsurge in Covid-19 cases and deaths.

The league was suspended with most teams having played four games with only Lifofane and Lioli having played three.
It was only last week when the PLMC convened for a meeting and agreed on the resumption.
The released new fixture starts of the Vodacom Premier League resumes with Lifofane welcoming Lioli in Botha Bothe for their catch up game at Pitso Ground on Wednesday.

A Maseru derby will headline the Saturday Fixtures when Matlama welcome Likhopo at Setsoto Stadium. Matlama has been in fine form since the start of the season winning all their games, they are second on the log with 12 points to their name Likhopo has been having it tough without a win. They have lost three matches and drew one.

In other matches, log-strugglers Swallows host Lesotho Defense Force (LDF) at Nyakosoba. LDF also had a great start to their campaign winning three and getting one draw. Third-placed Lesotho Correctional Services (LCS) also yet to lose a match in this campaign, having secured three wins and a draw will welcome Linare at LCS Ground. Linare are hoping for a change of fortunes after winning only one match and a draw while losing two under the guidance of their new coach Teboho Moloi.

CCX will host Kick4Life in a wrap of Saturday games at LCA Ground. On Sunday Bob Mafoso’s charges Bantu FC will face the Seephephe Matete led Lesotho Mounted Police Services (LMPS) at Setsoto Stadium. LMPS have been in a consistent form since Matete took over at the beginning of the season but will have a tough task against the high flying ‘A Mats’o Matebele’ who are top of the log with four wins out of four and the highest scoring team in the league so far.

Manonyane who are new-comers to the top flight league this season, will travel to Maputsoe to entertain Lioli. Lioli return under the leadership of a new coach in Mosholu Mokhothu having started the campaign with the late South African Thomas Tshabalala who lost his life in December after a short illness. They will be looking to find their footing and fine-tune their rhythm, they have six points after securing two wins and a loss. Manonyane had a positive start to their debut top flight campaign with two wins and two draws.

Lifofane will play host to Lijabatho in Botha Bothe. The team sits at the bottom of the log. Sefothafotha will face another log struggler Liphakoe who are three places from the bottom of the log.
